I am currently working as a mechanical engineering intern at Cisco Systems. I have four of five years fo college done, and will be taking my last semester of classes after this internship. I attend University of the Pacific (UOP) in Stockton, CA.
I am always looking for people to get into good, lively conversation with about almost anything. I am not a huge sports fan (I AM a big Sharks Hockey fan though). The current happenings in the media-world really do not matter much to me either, although they are good for a laugh or two. I would call myself laid back and easy going, but that is me talking about me.
My biggest hobby is my car. I do nto spend every waking moment on it, nor do I blow off engagements to play with it. It used to be where most paychecks went, but I no longer do that. It is fun to drive and runs well...what more could I want. I do spent a fair amount of time developing custom performance bits for it and sell them on the side for some play $. The car was responsible for me studying Mechanical Engineering, and I have to say that it feels like the right field for me.
I really really really enjoy the outdoors. I grew up backpacking and camping, and it is a part of me now I suppose. Some of my favorite palces are Big Sur, Hetch Hetchy Resivoir, Grant Ranch County Park, Point Reyes and the Boundary Waters wilderness in Minnesota. Another day-trip favorite is about 20 miles north/east of Angel's Camp, CA. It is possibly the most picturesque place ever, and I make numerous trips out there to go cliff diving and hiking. It is a favorite of my college friends and myself.
I am on LJ primarily to keep in touch with friends I have made in college that may be hard to speak with after graduating. I am always up for meeting new friends as well. Hell froze over when I joined Facebook/Myspace, so I suppose I cannot think I would have stayed off of here forever!
